God's Way of Salvation

"It is written in the prophets, and they shall all be taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard and learned of the Father, cometh unto me." (John 6:45).

1. WHY DID JESUS COME?

"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost." (Luke 19:10).
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10).

2. WHO MAY BE SAVED?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)     "God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9).

3. OBEDIENCE IS NECESSARY

He that doeth the will of the Father shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 7:21).
"Though he were a son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became  the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him." (Hebrews 5:8-9).

4. FAITH IS NECESSARY

"Faith comes by hearing  "But without faith it is impossible to please him." (Heb. 11:6).
"For if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24).

5. REPENTANCE IS NECESSARY

Repent or perish. (Luke 13:3). "At the times of this ignorance God winked at but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30).

6. CONFESSION OF CHRIST IS NECESSARY

By the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10).
All who confess Christ will be confessed before the Father. (Matt. 10:32).

7. BAPTISM IS NECESSARY

Repent and be baptized for remission of sins. (Acts 2:38
"Baptism doeth also now save us." (1 Peter 3:21).
"Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord." (Acts 22:16).

8. WORKS ARE NECESSARY

"This is the work of God that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." (John 6:29).
Work out your own salvation. (Philippians 2:12).
A man is justified by works. (James 2:24)
Faith without works is dead. (James 2:20, 26).

9. WHAT CHURCH WILL I BELONG TO THEN?

"The Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." (Acts 2:47).
Jesus promised to build his church. (Matthew 16:18).

10. WHAT NAME SHOULD I WEAR?

"The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." (Acts 11:26).
"But if any man suffer as a Christian let him not be ashamed but let him glorify God on this behalf." (1 Peter 4:16).

11. BEING A PART OF THE CHURCH IS NECESSARY

The church was purchased with the blood of Christ. (Acts 20:28).
The church is the body of Christ. (Eph. 1:22, 23).
The church is the family of God. (1 Tim. 3:15).
The Lord adds the saved to it. (Acts 2:47).
All the promises of God are in Christ. (2 Cor. 1:20).
Every spiritual blessing is in Christ. (Eph. 1:3).
To be in Christ is to be in his body, the church.

12. THE CHURCH IS A PLACE OF WORK  ( The Church Is Christians  Not the Building )

As a race, we must run. (Heb. 12:1).
As a soldier, we must fight. (1 Tim. 6:12)
We are to be doers of the word. (James 1:22).
We should follow Christ's example. (John 9:4).
We will be judged by our works. (Revelation 20:12).
We are saved by faith that works through love. (James 2:14-26)
